Pet rescue fundraiser also a women’s networking event

Florida Women’s Law Group and Monahan Jewelers joined forces on April 16 in a collaboration to benefit S.A.F.E. Pet Rescue. The networking event was a fun opportunity for local women-owned business to get together, shop and benefit the community.

Florida Women’s Law Group has been a longtime supporter of S.A.F.E. Pet Rescue, as Heather Quick, founder and CEO, has adopted several furry friends from their St. Augustine location. As suggested by the name, Florida Women’s Law Group is compassionate about helping women through their family law issues, uplifting women business owners and supporting the local community.

Monahan Jewelers, a family run business based in Atlantic Beach, put on a glittering display of their impressive jewelry pieces. To benefit S.A.F.E. Pet Rescue, Monahan’s offered a discount to event attendees to, in turn, donate a portion of proceeds to the shelter.

By combining resources and leveraging their respective networks, the two businesses were able to amplify their impact and raised $1,600 in donations. On April 26, Florida Women’s Law Group, along with Heather’s adopted pets, hand-delivered the donation to S.A.F.E Pet Rescue.

S.A.F.E Pet has adoption centers in St. Augustine Beach, Treasure Beach, Hollister and Palatka. They’re operated solely by volunteers and certainly appreciated the donation.
