The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach celebrated Father’s Day in a fun fashion with the kickoff of Beaches Unplugged Summer Series.

The upscale open mike night featured acoustic performances from local, regional and national musicians, professionals and amateurs in a family friendly atmosphere.

Performers were encouraged to bring their own instruments or use the piano provided. Each performance was limited to eight minutes, including setup and breakdown, and all performers were required to be over the age of 13.

Some of the performers included Aimee Bogs on the piano, Frank Cyr on classical guitar, Mike Shackelford on guitar, harmonica and vocals, John Longbottom on guitar and vocals, and Shoofly on guitar, vocals and the snare drum.

Taking place on three Sunday evenings throughout the summer, the Beaches Unplugged is a great way to enjoy music and the mild summer breeze in the courtyard of the Cultural Center.
