Illegal, and overpriced, too

An officer stopped at a home on Selva Marina Drive after observing several people standing outside. When the officer pulled up the people began to walk away. The officer went to the front door to see why the people were hanging around. Taped to the front door was a sign that read, "Beer, $5.00"

A young man answered the door and said his parents were out of town. The officer had the young man call his parents. His mother told the officer her son did not have permission to have a party and that everyone except her two sons needed to leave the residence. Officers disposed of the alcohol, had the parents of the underage children pick up their kids and issued the young man a notice to appear for hosting an open house party.

No skipping

A man had become combative after bouncers refused to let him skip the line to get into a nightclub in the 400 block of 1st Street North. When approached by an officer and told to leave, the man pushed the officer. He was tazed and then arrested.

Neptune Beach

Stuffed mushrooms and brownies?

An officer pulled over a vehicle in the 400 block of Seagate Avenue after a check of the tag revealed the registered owner had a suspended license. The driver, who was issued a citation for driving with a suspended license, said he had mushrooms and marijuana inside the vehicle. A search revealed 30 grams of marijuana and 12 grams of mushrooms. The man was arrested.

That’s what friends are for

A woman came into the police station to file a report that her watch and ring had been stolen. The woman told officers that while out shopping she had run into a friend and invited the friend back to her home to continue visiting.

While at the home the woman said her friend admired her watch and ring. The friend talked the woman into giving her the watch to take to be repaired. The woman said it had been several days and her friend had not returned her calls — or the watch — and she’d discovered her ring was missing as well. The ring and watch are valued at approximately $4,800.
