The seventh annual St. Augustine Celtic Music & Heritage Festival is set for March 10-12 at Francis Field.
The three-day event will feature internationally acclaimed Celtic bands, a pre-festival whiskey tasting, Highland games, Celtic shopping and food and a St. Patrick’s Day parade that begins at 10 a.m. March 11.
Scottish band Albannach will return as the festival’s headliner. The group’s music combines the culture, history and heritage of the Scottish Gaelic and features an award-winning piper, a main drummer, bass drummers and a bodhran musician.
The Dublin City Ramblers will also perform at the festival. Named “Ireland’s No. 1 Ballad & Folk Group of the Year” by the Irish Country Music Association, the band has performed at major festivals, including the Milwaukee Irish Festival, the Cleveland Irish Festival, Hollywood Irish Fest, Miami Irish Fest and others around the globe. The group has also performed at major venues in Ireland and abroad, including Dublin’s National Stadium, National Concert Hall, Cork Opera House, England’s Royal Albert Hall, New York’s Carnegie Hall and many others.
In addition, the event will feature international performers Emmet Cahill and The Real McKenzies; national bands Emish, Seven Nations and Whiskey of the Damned; and regional group Jig to a Milestone.
