JEA lifts precautionary boil water advisory for Nocatee

UPDATE, Sept. 15: JEA has lifted a precautionary boil water advisory issued Sept. 13 after a water outage in the area. According to JEA, water quality testing was conducted and the results meet standards.

The boil water advisory lifting is in effect for businesses, residents and schools in Nocatee. Customers are advised to flush water lines for three minutes after water returns in order to remove any air and possible sediments from the lines.

Sept. 13: JEA issued a precautionary boil water advisory for Nocatee Sept. 13 after the community lost water Tuesday due to a JEA mainline break on Racetrack Road.

While repairs to the mainline have been completed and service restored, JEA recommends that Nocatee residents boil water through Thursday. Residents should bring water to a rolling boil for a minimum of one minute before using for drinking, food preparation or cooking.
