A little rain couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm of local residents last week, when the popular M Shack restaurant held its much-anticipated grand opening in Nocatee Town Center.

Local residents flocked to the event, which included live entertainment and the M Shack food truck on site at the new 2,400 square-foot location at 641 Crosswater Parkway. According to the M Shack website, the new Nocatee location seats 75 indoors, with additional patio seating for 50.

Owned by brothers Matthew and David Medure, the Nocatee M Shack is the fourth “fresh-casual” restaurant in the company’s eateries, which also includes the upscale Restaurant Medure in Ponte Vedra Beach and Matthew’s in Jacksonville. The first M Shack opened in 2011 in Atlantic Beach, followed by locations in St. Johns Town Center and Riverside in 2013 and 2015, respectively.

M Shack’s menu of high-quality burgers, dogs, shakes and fries – along with salad and sandwich options – has made the chain a favorite among local families. The restaurant is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
