Peterbrooke takes guesswork out of Valentine’s Day with ‘chocolate personality’ quiz

For the past 34 years, Peterbrooke Chocolatier has been helping couples create memorable Valentine’s Day celebrations with their handmade chocolate and Valentine’s Day treats. This year, Peterbrooke is drawing on decades of “chocolate psychology” to take the guesswork out of Valentine’s Day gift giving.

“People often fret about what to get their significant other for Valentine’s Day,” said Elizabeth Cordell Rice, marketing manager for Peterbrooke Chocolatier. “But some of the best gifts are simple, personal, gestures that come from the heart. And chocolate never hurts, either.”

To that end, the team at Peterbrooke is unveiling a personality quiz to help gift givers find the best chocolate for their sweethearts. Available on Peterbrook’s Facebook page, the quiz will help people choose between five Valentine’s Day favorites, including:

Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries – for the Cupids and the passionate romantic

Chocolate Covered Popcorn – for the one who’s sweet, and just a little salty, but irresistible

Valentine’s Day Assortment Box - the original, a timeless celebration of classic love

Chocolate Valentine’s Basket – for those who like to have their cake and eat it, too. They care about the quality of what’s inside.

Chocolate Rose Bouquets – for those who are comfortable in their own skin. It’s about the gesture…not about the gift

Peterbrooke is gearing up to dip more than 67,000 strawberries in chocolate for Valentine’s this year, with a crew working 24/7 to ensure the tasty treats are available.

“In anticipation of last minute shoppers, we are opening our stores early on Feb. 13 and 14 to make it easy for you to pick up a unique, chocolate specialty gift on the way to work,” said Cordell Rice. “We also take pre-orders as a way for customers to skip long lines the closer it gets to Valentine’s Day.”
