A Ponte Vedra Beach man was killed Tuesday night in a car accident on A1A.
William Cody Covington, 23, was traveling north on A1A in Ponte Vedra at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday when he lost control of his 2006 Acura TSX and failed to negotiate the curve near Gnarled Oaks Drive, approaching the Mickler Road and A1A intersection.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Covington’s car left the road and overturned. He died at the scene of the accident.
No other cars were involved, officials said.
