A group of teens is facing charges after causing a disturbance in the Walden Chase subdivision early Tuesday morning that involved the possession of weapons and drugs.

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the neighborhood at 3:45 a.m. to investigate a report of people knocking on windows. In the process of doing so, the deputies heard what sounded like gunshots in the area and then noticed a silver Hyundai driving without its headlights on.

After initiating a traffic stop, deputies said several occupants fled the vehicle, but that they were able to locate two in the immediate area and arrest them on site. Connor Alan Stout, 18, of Ponte Vedra Beach, was charged with violation of probation and was released to home detention by D.J.J. Authorities. Blake Douglas Boyet, 18, of St. Louis, was charged with possession of marijuana over 20 grams and was booked into the St. Johns County Jail.

SJSO said deputies located three handguns and approximately 100 grams of marijuana inside the vehicle, as well as several spent shell casings near the entrance to Walden Chase.

The registered owner of the vehicle, 19-year-old Spencer Smart, was located at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday walking on Ponte Vedra Boulevard, said SJSO.

Additional charges are pending further investigation.
