Adventure Landing hosted a special media event on Friday, Oct. 5 to showcase the season's top Haunt Night characters, haunted houses and more.
This year's Haunt Nights at Adventure Landing — which runs through Halloween — will feature over 80 actors and four haunted house attractions, entitled Payn Manor, Pinehurst Asylum, Dark Fables and Descent. The houses feature creepy characters lurking about, eerie sights and sounds and narrow passages that evoke the thoughts of fear.
During the media event, an Adventure Landing tour guide walked members of the local press through a haunted house and offered a behind-the-scenes look at actors preparing to play their roles and perfect their elaborate costumes.
The newest haunted house, Payn Manor, was named after local ghost legend Alpha Paynter — who is believed to haunt the TacoLu building next door to Adventure Landing.
Located at 1944 Beach Blvd. in Jacksonville Beach, Adventure Landing offers a combo Haunt Night ticket for $26.99 that offers access to all four haunted houses and a Combo Haunt plus single attraction ticket for $32.99. Fast passes to skip lines are available for $10. Additionally, discount tickets are available through participating Walgreens stores.
