Marketing guru Del Kiernan-Lewis will present “Book Marketing Basics” at the FWA Ponte Vedra Writers meeting on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ponte Vedra Library.

His presentation will walk writers through the most important steps to successfully market and promote their books to readers. Among the things they will learn are:

·       How to produce a book cover that grabs the attention of genre readers

·       Proven strategies to use social media, your author website and a newsletter to boost your book’s discoverability

·       Where to advertise for cost-effectiveness and best results

Kiernan-Lewis, PhD, is the publisher and editor of San Marco Press, whose lead author's Amazon sales rank among the top indie book sales worldwide. As an indie publishing expert, he works with authors on business development and strategy, marketing, editing, promotions and book placement and sales on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iBooks, Kobo and Google. He’s also the director of marketing and promotions for the books of Susan Kiernan-Lewis, whose books the past five years have sold or downloaded over a million copies.

The Ponte Vedra Writers group is part of the Florida Writers Association, a statewide, nonprofit organization with nearly 1,500 members dedicated to the support of both aspiring and published writers in any genre. The Sept. 22 meeting is free and open to members and non-members alike. For information on FWA, visit www.floridawriters.net.
