Upcoming fundraisers to support survivors and research

During National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, join together with families and friends around the First Coast in supporting survivors and the fight for a cure at the following upcoming fundraisers.       

 

Unity Pink Motorcycle Ride

Presented by Unity Outreach of St. Augustine, a nonprofit dedicated to financially supporting breast cancer patients in St. Johns County, the annual Unity Pink Motorcycle Ride will take place Saturday, Oct. 13 in St. Augustine.

The event, which centers around a police-escorted motorcycle ride beginning at the Shrine Club at 250 Brainhard Drive, will also offer live music, food, a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction, as well as various vendors, with proceeds to benefit Unity Outreach. Registration is $25 for a single rider and $35 for a rider and passenger. Admission is free for spectators.

Seafood Soul Fest

Also on Saturday, Oct. 13, lovers of both seafood and soul music will gather from noon to 7 p.m. at the University of North Florida’s J.B. Coxwell Amphitheater for Jacksonville’s annual Seafood Soul Fest. The event will feature multiple food vendors, including Soul Food Bistro, Khloe’s Kitchen, The All American & Seafood, Henry’s New Orleans Cajun Cooking, Ambitious Eats and Nitrogen Creamery; and artists such as Stank Sauce, The Band Pressure and DJ Guru will provide live entertainment, as well as comedian Nod Ross. Additional vendors will also be on-site displaying artwork, apparel, jewelry and more.

Funds raised by the event will benefit the Edith Marie Foundation, a nonprofit that provides financial assistance to breast cancer patients in active treatment. General admission tickets for the event are $10 and children ages 10 and under can attend for free. VIP tickets are $25 and parking passes are an additional $10. DONNA Topgolf Par Tee

The second annual DONNA Topgolf ParTee will be held Sunday, Nov. 4 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Topgolf in Jacksonville. Presented by the Tom Bush Family of Dealerships, the event will feature an afternoon of friendly competition for a good cause, during which attendees will enjoy two rounds of play and participate in a Top Contender contest as well as a $10,000 Hole-in-One Challenge. The top three teams will receive prizes, and spectators can also join in on the fun with raffles, food and beverages.

Funds raised will benefit The DONNA Foundation, which aims to provide support and financial assistance to those living with breast cancer, as well as fund research for a cure. For ticket pricing and additional information, visit www.thedonnafoundation.org.
