The Castillo de San Marcos National Monument is partnering with digital government services company NIC Inc. (NASDAQ: EGOV) to offer digital entrance passes to visitors through NIC’s “YourPassNow.”

"YourPassNow" allows visitors to use their personal computer or mobile device to purchase an entrance pass online, at no additional cost. Once purchased, the pass can be used at the Castillo de San Marcos immediately, stored on a mobile device or printed for later use.

"We are pleased to be able to provide an easier planning process for our park visitors and be able to utilize available technology," said Castillo de San Marcos National Monument Superintendent Gordie Wilson.

Located in St. Augustine, Castillo de San Marcos is a national monument representing a clash of cultures that stands as the oldest structure in St. Augustine and the oldest masonry fort in the continental United States.

Founded in 1992, NIC is a Kansas-based provider of government solutions and secure payment processing. The company has seen the transition of digital services from green-screen computers to mobile apps and artificial intelligence.
