The Florida Association of Counties recently recognized St. Johns County Commissioner James K. Johns as an Advanced County Commissioner following his completion of a comprehensive study program.
The program was designed to focus on leadership with an emphasis on the future of Florida, the importance of protecting home rule and the concept that government closest to the people governs best. The Association also helps counties effectively serve and represent Floridians by strengthening and preserving county home rule through advocacy, education and collaboration.
