Cyclists participate in two-day ride to support fight against MS

Approximately 1,100 cyclists participated in the 32nd annual Bike MS: PGA TOUR Cycle to the Shore this past weekend to raise money to support people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS).

Held Oct. 13-14, the two-day ride from TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach to the Daytona Beach Boardwalk has raised $853, 302.03 so far. The event’s goal is a bit north of $1 million. 

Local team Big Bananas is currently the leading fundraising bike team in the Bike MS Southeast Region at $143,387.81

Bike MS: PGA TOUR Cycle to the Shore is one of nearly 80 rides across the country hosted by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. This year, more than 80,000 people are expected to participate in Bike MS nationwide.
