Florida Chamber Music Project to celebrate end of 2017-18 season with Tango Gala

The Florida Chamber Music Project (FCMP) will celebrate the end of its 2017-18 season with a Masquerade Tango Gala on Saturday, June 9 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall.

The event will feature a performance from FCMP, a tango dance exhibition and lessons by All About Ballroom. Hand-painted, signed and numbered masks by artist Susanne Schuenke (susanneschuenke.com) will be available for sale. German-born Schuenke has had her art exhibited around the world.

"Tango music gives us an opportunity to collaborate with dancers Heather Kornick and Jake Lukic from All About Ballroom and to feature the art of Susanne Schuenke,” said Susan Pardue, FCMP artistic director and violinist. “It all ties together so nicely with tango music. We have much to celebrate as we finish out our fifth season."

Guests are urged to wear creative black tie with their favorite mask. Heavy hors d-oeuvres and a cash bar will be available.

Tickets are $75 and can be purchased by calling the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall Box Office at (904) 209-0399 or by visiting pvconcerthall.com.

Florida Chamber Music Project was founded five years ago. Joining Pardue are violinists Patrice Evans, Anna Genest and Annie Hertler and cellist Laurie Cassedy. All are members of the Jacksonville Symphony.
