Original Piece, a clothing store located at the St. Johns Town Center in Jacksonville, will help flood victims affected by Hurricane Harvey by offering 50 percent of all sales from the company's faith bracelets to the Samaritan's Purse, an evangelical Christian humanitarian aid organization.

"As a local business owner of Original Piece located at the St. Johns Town Center in Jacksonville, I lived in Houston, Texas for years," Tami Oakley, owner and founder of Original Piece, said to the Recorder via email. "We are spreading the word to help our fellow Americans in this trying time. Being from Houston, seeing all the photos is heartbreaking and through our Hurricane Harvey Gbead, we are raising as much as we can to help."

Oakley also said the handmade Gbead bracelets stand for prayer for the Texas flood victims who were rocked by the late-August hurricane. The bracelets will be available in-store or online at www.shoporiginalpiece.com.
