Landrum National Junior Honor Society hosts smoothie fundraiser to fight cancer

The Landrum Middle School chapter of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) joined forces with Ponte Vedra’s Tropical Smoothie Café last week to raise money for Cancer Assistance for Parents (CAPS). Tropical Smoothie Café donated 20 percent of the proceeds from NJHS customers on May 16-17 to CAPS.

“As an eighth grader moving on to high school next year, I wanted to leave a legacy and help kids in our community battling cancer,” said NJHS President Delaney Davidson.

So successful, in fact, was the fundraiser that NJHS plans to make it an annual event.
