Legacy Trust Family Wealth Offices sponsored a volunteer program for the Web.com Tour Championship as part of its 15th anniversary. More than 450 men, women and children volunteered at the tournament, assisting in jobs ranging from hospitality to live scoring.

Legacy Trust's investment helped defray the cost of volunteer uniforms and fund the volunteer appreciation party scheduled to be held in November. The Web.com Tour Championship took place Sept. 25 to Oct. 1 at the Atlantic Beach Country Club. It is the culmination of the season for the Web.com Tour players who are playing to earn their PGA Tour cards by finishing in the top 25 of the final money list. Legacy Trust has been a sponsor of the event since it began as the Winn-Dixie Jacksonville Open in 2011.

The Web.com Tour Championship donates its proceeds to local charities, the biggest of which is Wolfsons Children's Hospital.

"It costs this tournament about $20,000 to clothe, feed and support the volunteers, so when a company like Legacy Trust steps up, that's $20,000 that gets donated to the beneficiaries of the tournament," Volunteer Chair Bill Natter said.

In her presentation thanking the volunteers during their training sessions, Kristin McLauchlan, CEO and Chairman of Legacy Trust cited community involvement as a cornerstone of its business.

"Tournaments like this do not happen without the hard work of each person in this room," she said.  "We wanted to support your efforts, and we are humbled to part of the volunteer program."
