Limelight Theatre will celebrate a milestone 25 years during its upcoming 2016-2017 season.
The 2016-2017 season will include seven productions, beginning with “Oklahoma!” in September. The 25th season party is scheduled for Sept. 21 at Raintree Restaurant in St. Augustine.
In celebration of the anniversary, the theatre troupe recently debuted a new logo. Created by St. Augustine-based Design Extensions, the new logo replaces the comedy/tragedy theatre masks that often symbolize the theatre arts with two lions: Pounce de Leon (comedy) and Pawdro Menendez (tragedy).
Established in 1992 by co-founders Anne Kraft and Jean Rahner, Limelight Theatre is the only year-round community theatre located in St. Augustine. In addition to productions, Limelight Theatre offers year-round education for ages 4 through adult including the theatre’s KidsfACTory program, a theatre and instruction program for ages 4-18 and adult acting classes. Summer camps are also available.
