Minna Barnes, a local resident and long-time member of THE PLAYERS Community Senior Center, turned 105 years old on Thursday, Aug. 1.
Friends celebrated her life, taking pictures and video to commemorate the occasion. Barnes, an avid bird watcher, has been a regular member of the Senior Center since 2007.
"Minna truly has one of the most beautiful souls of any person I've ever encountered," friend Richard Sirosis said. "I feel sorry for any person who hasn't had the opportunity to meet her."
