Ponte Vedra High School senior Casey Hiden recently received a $1,000 scholarship to LaGrange College in Georgia after participating in the college’s Presidential Scholarship program.
Hiden was invited to join 135 other students from eight states for a series of interviews and leadership activities at the college in February. Scholarship recipients were evaluated by a panel of judges based on their school transcripts, SAT and ACT scores, interview performance, written essay and extracurricular activities.
A four-year liberal arts and sciences college affiliated with the United Methodist Church, LaGrange College offers more than 70 areas of study with an emphasis on global engagement and service.
