The Monique Burr Foundation for Children (MBF) will host its annual "A Night at Roy's event, featuring gourmet cuisine, fabulous wines, tropical cocktails, live music, and a silent auction. The event will raise funds for the MBF.
One of Northeast Florida's most widely attended charity events, last year's event was an enormous success with more than 400 attendees and $55,000 raised to help keep children and teens safe through the MBF Child Safety Matters Prevention Education Series. These programs address the most common types of victimization experienced by children and young adults, including bullying, abuse, digital dangers and more.
James Beard Award winner and world-renowned chef Roy Yamaguchi will offer guests contemporary Hawaiian-influenced gourmet cuisine on Wednesday, May 2 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Roy's Restaurant at 2400 3rd St. S. in Jacksonville Beach.
