Barron recognizes Aitekn on ‘America’s Top 1,200 Advisors’ list
Christopher Aitken, managing director with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management Ponte Vedra Beach, was recently recognized on Barron’s “America's Top 1,200 Advisors: State-by-State” list. Aitken has extensive experience in working with ultra-high net worth families, corporations, health care entities, endowments/foundations and DB/401(k) Plans.
Prior to joining Merrill Lynch in 2009, Aitken spent 23 years as a managing director for Citi/Smith Barney Institutional Consulting overseeing $5 billion in assets. He began his investment consulting career in 1986 with Smith Barney and its predecessor firm.Prior to 1986 he served as an accountant with Price Waterhouse Coopers, where he was responsible for auditing and monitoring large pools of nonprofit client assets.
He and his wife, Letitia, live in Ponte Vedra Beach.
Kinsey attends dental forum in Buenos Aires
Stephanie Kinsey, DDS, owner and founder of Palencia Dental in St. Augustine, recently attended the International College of Craniomandibular Orthopedics (ICCMO) conference in Buenos Aires, Argentina during the professional organization’s Neuromuscular Dental Forum in April.
Dr. Kinsey joined more than 200 professionals from around the world during the private summit in commentary and opinions about scientific presentations for neuromuscular dental medicine, and the latest technologies in clinical and professional interests. Lecture topics included sleep apnea, posture, dental development, neuromuscular restorative and orthodontic treatment, bite management, occlusal equilibration, TMD and TMJ treatments, holistic dentistry, swallowing, and physical therapy, among others.
“The fraternal atmosphere with professionals in private practice and from academic institutions is of great benefit to my local patients and the practice,” she said. “Studies and discussions at all levels of neuromuscular dentistry, scientific advancement and education will help to change many lives through the importance of advanced dental and oral health.”
Celzo joins FirstAtlantic Bank
Larry Celzo has joined FirstAtlantic Bank as vice president, senior commercial banker.
His responsibilities include developing new customer relationships in the bank’s targeted markets of businesses and professionals.
Celzo brings 14 years of financial services experience to his new position. He was most recently with IBERIABANK. Celzo received a bachelor of arts in business administration from the University of North Florida. He is a military veteran having previously served four years on active duty in the U.S. Air Force, and is currently serving his fifteenth year in the Florida Air National Guard. Celzo is also very involved in the community, serving as vice chairman for the Child Guidance Center of Jacksonville, a trustee for Memorial Health’s Specialty Hospital, and the chairman of the programs committee for the Meninak Club of Jacksonville. He previously served as the vice president of the University of North Florida Coggin College of Business Alumni Chapter.

Haven Hospice honors Kupka as ‘Outstanding Volunteer of the Year’
Chris Kupka was awarded the Haven Hospice Fisher Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award for the Jacksonville service area during the recent volunteer appreciation luncheon and awards event in Jacksonville.
“Chris is what every volunteer coordinator hopes for,” said Haven Hospice Jacksonville Volunteer Coordinator Carol Waters. “Her amazing ability to connect with people has made her such a valuable member of the Jacksonville team.”
Kupka started volunteering with Haven when she relocated to Jacksonville in 2014. She volunteers with Haven in several capacities including community outreach, administrative support, and patient and caregiver support.
“I love all of my different roles here at Haven,” said Kupka a retired clinical social worker. “My favorite part of volunteering with Haven is talking to people in the community about Haven and hospice benefits as a community outreach volunteer.”
The Volunteer of the Year Award in Jacksonville became the Fisher Volunteer of the Year Award in 2014. It was named for longtime Haven Hospice volunteers Ken and Frances Fisher, who were also previous recipients and continue to volunteer in the Jacksonville area.
