Nocatee families and residents had the chance to connect with representatives from local law enforcement, education and nonprofit organizations on Tuesday, Aug. 7 when the master planned community hosted its third annual Community Resource Day at Crosswater Hall.

Representatives from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, EPIC Behavioral Healthcare, PACT Prevention Coalition, RSVP of St. Johns County and the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice were among those in attendance for Nocatee residents to meet. The event featured a presentation on cyber and social media safety, drug and alcohol awareness and prevention and school climate and resources. A Drop Box was also available for residents to drop off old prescription medicines.

In addition, kids were welcome at the event, participating in supervised games and activities at the Splash Waterpark Cabana. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office also brought in a helicopter for kids to see.
