Oca Studio supports Mission House with fundraiser

Oca Studio in Ponte Vedra Beach held a fundraiser Wednesday, May 23 in support of Mission House, a Jacksonville Beach-based nonprofit dedicated to aiding the homeless members of the Beaches community.

Hosted by Oca Studio owners Taciana and Marcio Paulino, the fundraiser offered local residents the opportunity to learn more about Mission House and its many outreach initiatives, in addition to providing financial support for the organization through their purchases.

“We sell Baobab Collection candles, along with other fine furnishings and accessories, and we decided to partner with Mission House to sell the candles specifically that night and give them a portion of the proceeds,” said Heather Moore, design sales consultant for Oca Studio. “People came in, purchased the candles and had wine and appetizers, and Lori Delgado Anderson from Mission House got to talk to different people about what they’re doing in the Ponte Vedra area.”

Mission House assists those affected by homelessness by providing them with food, clothing, medical care and support services, with an ultimate goal of self-sufficiency. For more information about Mission House, visit www.missionhousejax.org.
