Students at Webster Elementary School in St. Augustine received a special holiday surprise from THE PLAYERS Championship and PGA Tour last week.
Company staff visited Webster on Thursday night, decorated the school and dropped off backpacks for each of the students filled with various goodies. PGA Tour representatives then returned on Friday morning to read “A Visit from St. Nicholas” to students.
St. Nick himself joined the tour and visited all 31 classrooms and 550 students. THE PLAYERS Championship Executive Director Jared Rice and St. Johns County School District Superintendent Tim Forson also attended the holiday event on Friday morning.
