Ponte Vedra resident and Bolles student earns silver at World Junior Rowing Championships
Ponte Vedra resident and Bolles student Chase Haskell (center) stands victorious with his teammates after taking home a silver medal at the 2018 World Rowing Junior Championships in Racice, Czech Republic Aug. 10 in the men’s 4+. Along with coxswain George Doty (Corte Madera, California/Marin Rowing Association), Michael Fairley (Saratoga Springs, New York/Saratoga Rowing Association), Owen King (Montclair, New Jersey/Montclair High School) and Henry Bellew (Bethesda, Maryland/Harvard University), Haskell was a part of the United States’ best performance in the event since 1998. Haskell was named to the United States’ Under 19 National Team on July 20 while participating in the U19 Men’s Selection Camp in Chula Vista, California, throughout June and July.
