BDO USA, LLP, an accounting and advisory organization, recently appointed Ponte Vedra resident Paul Davison to the position of office managing partner for the assurance practice of BDO’s Jacksonville office.

Davison’s tenure with BDO began in 2016 when he joined the firm’s Columbus office following 13 years with Arthur Anderson and 14 years with EY. In total, he brings more than 29 years of experience in public accounting, including 15 years as a partner.

“His technical skills and knowledge of audit methodology will lead our team of audit professionals and guide our growing assurance practice,” said Neal Von Stein, tax office managing partner, about Davison.

The Ponte Vedra resident has experience with a wide range of financial statement reporting matters, including registration statement filings, merger consummations and interim and annual reporting requirements. Additionally, he possesses an extensive background in complex accounting matters, including business combinations, restructuring and complex stock-based compensation matters. From an industry standpoint, Davison helps middle-market manufacturers, consumer products and retail companies solve complex business and operational problems. In addition, he has held an International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) certification since 2012.

“I’m already impressed with the diversity of industry and culture in Jacksonville,” said Davison. “It’s easy to see why our people love this city, and I intend on making a positive impact. I’m excited about the opportunities we have to match our tremendous resources with the growing business needs in Jacksonville. BDO’s local market position and global strength give us a platform for continued growth in this city.”
