Ponte Vedra Valley, a family owned and operated funeral home with on-site cremation center and cemetery, will host its 19th Annual Veterans Day Celebration on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 10:30 a.m., honoring all service men and women who have served and preserved the United States since its founding.
The featured speaker will be Master Chief Boatswain’s Mate Malone Jones, Retired. The Southern Cruisers Riding Club will lead the entrance procession followed by the Riderless Horse.
Also participating will be the Daughters of the American Revolution, Sons of the American Revolution, Mayport Honor Guard, Nease High School’s JROTC cadets, American Legion Post 233 and local Boy Scout Troop 288.
Dual taps, as played at Arlington National Cemetery, will be performed, and bagpipes will also be played.
The community is invited to attend the event. Seating is provided but is limited. Please feel free to bring your lawn chairs or blankets for additional seating. Golf carts will be available for those who need assistance.
