New dining options, a new bar and lounge and upgraded locker rooms and restrooms are just a few of the improvements nearing completion at Queen’s Harbour Country Club in Jacksonville.

Renovations to the club began in November and are scheduled to be completed next month.

“With this reinvention, it will feel like we are opening a brand new club,” said Bob Sykora, general manager. “Not only will the renovations create a modern, new look, but our additional programming will include many more reasons for our members to use the club.”

New amenities at the club will include:

  • A new moodern new bar and lounge featuring TVs throughout and offering local craft beers (bottled and on-tap) as well as signature club cocktails
  • The new “Spinnakers” at Queen’s Harbour, where club members can gather with family or meet friends at the new communal table to enjoy fresh Florida fare
  • Upgraded locker rooms and restroom facilities and other upgrades throughout the clubhouse

“The members are very excited about all of the improvements coming and, with summer just around the corner, the timing is perfect,” said Bill Macleod, president of the Queen’s Harbour Advisory Board. “I am sure the club will be the place to be for the Queen’s Harbour community.”

Built around a freshwater yacht basin and connected to the Intracoastal Waterway by a navigational lock system, Queen’s Harbour Yacht and Country Club features an 18-hole Mark McCumber Royal Course, with 1,000 acres of native woodland and marsh. Additional club amenities include upscale and casual dining, lighted tennis courts, a swimming pool, abd private meeting and dining rooms with full-service catering and event planning. The club offers a variety of family programming and activities, including Friday Night Out, Sunday Family Fun Day, weekly themed dinners, and trivia and game nights.
