RE/MAX Unlimited is supporting the efforts of Stockings 4 Kids-St. Johns County to provide 500 Christmas stockings to organizations throughout St. Johns County that work with at-risk youth and homeless families.

The organizations include Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County, Betty Griffin Center, Alpha-Omega Miracle Home, St. Francis House, St Gerard Campus and the Youth Resource Program at the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office. More than 30 child volunteers helped in filling the stockings on Dec. 1 at Crosswater Community Church in Ponte Vedra.

“There is nothing better and more moving than children helping children at the holidays,” said Brenda Horst, owner/broker of RE/MAX Unlimited. “Watching the ‘elves’ work so hard to bring a little joy to other children is heartwarming. RE/MAX Unlimited is so pleased to be part of Stockings 4 Kids-St. Johns County.”

RE/MAX Unlimited’s involvement was key to bringing Stockings 4 Kids to St. Johns County. The program was started 10 years ago in Lee County. This is the first expansion of Stockings 4 Kids outside of Lee County.

In addition to child volunteers, deputies from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Youth Resource Program joined in the stuffing. Adult volunteers who sponsored Stockings 4 Kids-St. Johns County also helped stuff, including representatives from Landmark Title, Bankers Life, America’s Choice Title, Pillar To Post Home Inspectors, NCC Business Services, The Sandberg Team at RE/MAX Unlimited, The Stepp Family and The Cavanaugh Team at RE/MAX Unlimited.
