The Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort and Spa hosted a VIP reception Saturday on the eve of the final day of competition for THE PLAYERS Championship 2017.
The hotel’s Masters ballroom was transformed into a high-end nightclub for the event, complete with luxury lounge seating, a DJ and acrobats. Executive Chef Joe Natoli and his team from the Sawgrass Marriott’s 619 Ocean View offered a variety of cocktail and menu options, from grilled jumbo prawns and paella to swordfish, pasta dishes, a “meat market” and more. Dessert options, meanwhile, included ice cream flavors created especially for the Marriott by Christy’s Dream topped with fresh honey from the resort’s own beehive.
