Shearwater, the new master-planned residential community on County Road 210, recently celebrated the grand opening of its first gated neighborhood, the Woodlands.

Dozens of families and individuals toured the newly built home models by D.S. Ware Homes and Drees Homes, which offer homes ranging in size from 2,850 square feet to 4,000 square feet and starting in the $400,000s.

The Woodlands features larger, 70- and 80-foot lots, with available natural preserve or lake views. Designed for more than 130 lots, the community has two different access points to Shearwater’s trail network, including a trail that leads to Timberlin Creek Elementary School.

“At Shearwater, we are dedicated to providing homebuyers with a variety of styles and options when it comes to purchasing a home that fits their needs,” said Andy Smith, director of the Southeast Division for Freehold Communities, the master developer of Shearwater. “The Woodlands was the perfect opportunity to provide homebuyers with a gated neighborhood experience, while still being part of a larger community and having access to our first-rate, resort-style amenities.”
