The St. Augustine Orchestra (SAO) will hold its “Sounds of the Season” Christmas concert Friday, Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. at the River House in St. Augustine.

With doors opening at 7:30 p.m., this year’s performance will feature 14 pieces, including classics like “A Charlie Brown Christmas” by Vince Guaraldi and “Sleigh Ride” by Leroy Anderson.

“Christmas and its traditions evoke strong emotional responses in us, and music is particularly powerful in pulling at our memories,” said Maestro Scott Gregg.

Tickets are $22 for adults 18 and over; $12 for children/teens 11-17 and free for children 10 and under. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at https://staugustineorchestra.org and will also be available at the door. The River House is located at 179 Marine Street in St. Augustine.

The St. Augustine Orchestra is one of the city’s longest running cultural entities, playing for 56 years. Guided by a mission to expand awareness and music appreciation, the SAO’s approach is to provide quality live performances at an affordable cost to the community.
