For the sixth year in a row, St. Johns County has been named the healthiest county in Florida by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute.

The top ranking was released in March as part of the eighth annual County Health Rankings and Roadmaps report, which is a collaboration between the foundation and university to measure the progress of building a culture of health.

The report also names the county first in the state in quality of life and social and economic factors. The county additionally ranks high in clinical care, length of life and health behaviors.

The County Health Rankings and Roadmaps program compares the health of nearly all 3,000+ counties in the United States to others within their own respective states.
