Tailgate Fest 2017 to feature live music, food, drinks and football

The first ever Charity Tailgate Fest & Flea Market fundraising event supporting the American Legion will take place Sept. 2 from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. at 560 N. Wilderness Trail in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Tailgate Fest 2017 will feature a flea market starting at 8 a.m. and live music at 1 p.m. Additionally, the University of Florida/Michigan game will be shown on a big screen at 3 p.m., along with the Florida State/Alabama game at 8 p.m. Other NCAA games will be shown throughout the day, and there will be food, games (such as cornhole) and drinks. Admission is free.

A portion of the proceeds will go directly to the work of the American Legion and its charitable affiliates. The organization mentors youth and sponsors programs advocating strong national security, patriotism and continued devotion to service members and veterans. The organization raises millions of dollars in donations at the local, state and national levels to help veterans and their families during times of need.
