A 17-year-old boy was found dead on Thursday night outside the parking garage near Pusser's Bar and Grille and Ruth's Chris Steak House in Ponte Vedra Beach, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office (SJSO).
"It appears he entered onto the top floor of the parking garage and went off the edge of the building," said Chuck Mulligan, SJSO's community affairs bureau commander. "There's no evidence that exists at the site that indicates that there was any foul play."
Mulligan said the Sheriff's Office has researched the boy's history, background and personal life and "all indications at this point are pointing to a suicide."
