Timucuan Parks Foundation will be participating in International Coastal Cleanup Day on Sept. 15 by leading cleanups at Fort Caroline National Memorial, Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park and Reddie Point Preserve.

The nonprofit organization is looking for volunteers to join them for the Florida Coastal Cleanups, which are part of the annual International Coastal Cleanup coordinated by the Ocean Conservancy and supported locally by Keep Jacksonville Beautiful. Timucuan Parks Foundation is asking for volunteers to join them at the three local preservation parks from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Volunteers are asked to wear closed-toe shoes and bring work gloves (if you have them), sunscreen, bug spray, a hat, sunglasses and water (in a reusable water bottle). Trash bags, gloves, tools and snacks will be provided. Pre-registration is not required, and participants must be over 18 or accompanied by an adult. Service hour certificates are available for students.

Fort Caroline National Memorial is located at 12713 Fort Caroline Road; Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park is located at 500 Wonderwood Drive; and Reddie Point Preserve is located at 4499 Yachtsman Way.
