The PGA TOUR unveiled plans today for its new 187,000 square-foot headquarters, which will consolidate area staff under one roof in Ponte Vedra Beach. Commissioner Jay Monahan, Florida Gov. Rick Scott, Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry, and Director of Economic Development for St. Johns County Melissa Glasgow were on hand for the special presentation.

The headquarters, which is expected to be completed in 2020, will be located on a portion of the TOUR’s existing property on County Road 2010 and surrounded by a large freshwater lake, echoing the “Island Green” 17th hole from THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. The building will house the 700-plus employees currently occupying 17 buildings throughout the area.

During the event, Scott awarded Commissioner Monahan with a special award for his commitment to creating jobs in the Northeast Florida region.
