The Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library Nature Detective Workshops for Kids – featuring the pollinator, bats – on Saturday, July 13 at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. were a hit with 47 kids and their families. Author Marta Magellan wrote the Florida bat book, “Amazing, Misunderstood Bats,” which was used as the basis of the workshops. Magellan was on site to sign the books and each child who attended received a copy thanks to the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library. more
Residents and visitors alike enjoyed an early evening of music by talented local musician Ramona, cocktails, light appetizers, and the elegant surroundings of the historic Lightner Museum in St. Augustine on July 25.
