St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department recently announced Nocatee Landing and Nocatee Landing Paddle Launch are now open to the public. Nocatee Landing features an open-air pavilion with views of the river, bike racks, ample parking and solar-powered public restrooms as well as a non-motorized water vehicle launch for canoes, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards with access to the Intracoastal Waterway. more

Hot, humid summer Florida weather did not deter Nocatee residents from attending the monthly farmers market July 20 at Station Field. The bounce houses were visited by a steady stream of shrieking children while parents sipped a cold drink or tasted fare from food vendors. Some visited the market to shop for produce, specialty foods, crafts and other wares. Others came for a special Wild Encounters experience presented by Gatorland or to recognize Marines serving overseas at the Marine Military Give Back event. more
Some of the area’s favorite food trucks rolled in to Nocatee Station Field on June 28 to serve members of the community local gourmet food and snacks. Visitors were entertained with live music by the Hello Celia. Drinks were available for purchase at the bar, including select craft beers and wines. The kidzone included bounce house inflatables. The June 28 primary sponsor was 7 Cees Travel. more
The Saturday, June 15 Nocatee Farmers Market had an Island Experience theme. Shoppers were encouraged to wear Hawaiian shirts and grass skirts to witness performances by Prince Pele’s Polynesian Revue including a variety of Polynesian dances, costumes and live music. Shows were scheduled at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 12:30 p.m. so it was easy to catch a performance. There were photo opportunities with the performers throughout the day. Kids had fun in the bounce houses and participated in craft projects. more
