Tip your hats and celebrate the 149th Kentucky Derby at St. Augustine’s Tringali Barn from 4 to 8 p.m. May 6. There will be food, fashion and fun at the 11th annual Derby Run, a benefit for Community Hospice & Palliative Care.
Attendees will enjoy the Derby's signature drink, the mint julep, and be treated to hors d'oeuvres, festive live music and a silent auction. Racing fans are encouraged to wear their finest and fanciest Derby attire, and all proceeds from the event stay in St. Augustine and St. Johns County to support the end-of-life care needs of the community.
“As a resident of St. Johns County, I am so happy that we are able to present this wonderful event that supports the community,” said Jane Boles, chair of St. Augustine/St. Johns County Advisory Council. “We hope you will join us and get as close as you can get to the Derby without going to Kentucky and support a great local cause.”
