8th annual Mother’s Day Big Band Bash set for May 12 at Omni Amelia Island Plantation

The Les DeMerle Big Band, featuring Bonnie Eisele, will present its 8th Annual Mother’s Day Big Band Bash on Sunday, May 12, in the Amelia Ballroom at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation.

The benefit gala will feature a dinner and dance from 7 to 10 p.m., with a meet-and-greet with the musicians before the show from 6:30 to 7 p.m. The event will also include a silent and live auction. 

The Les DeMerle Big Band will feature the big band classics of Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Duke Ellington and more. The 17-piece band includes Jacksonville Jazz Festival Hall of Famers Bill Prince and J.B. Scott, plus other notable area musicians such as David Steinmeier and Marc Dickman.
