Apex Theatre Studio will present the off-Broadway hit musical “Ride The Cyclone” in its black box theater in St. Augustine on March 3-6 and at Guliford Hall at Adele Grage Community Center in Atlantic Beach on March 9-10.

In this hilarious and outlandish story, the lives of six teenagers from a Canadian chamber choir are cut short in a freak accident aboard a roller coaster. When they awake in limbo, a mechanical fortune teller invites each to tell a story to win a prize like no other — the chance to return to life. The show is a funny, moving look at what makes a life well-lived.

The production is under the direction of guest director Nick Case, a graduate of Penn State University’s musical theater program. The musical direction is led by Joshua Sewell with choreography by Laura Frye.
The cast features a mixture of Duval and St. Johns county students, including Haiden Matthews, Oliva DeMaio, DJ DeJesus, Miles Melanson, Owen Betancourt, Ruby Simmons, Emily Gonzalez and George Eastman.
Running time is 80 minutes. For tickets and information to go apextheatrejax.com/events. The show is rated PG-13 for mature language.

Shows are set for 7 p.m. March 4, 7 and 9 p.m. March 5 and 2 p.m. March 6 at Apex Theatre Studio Black Box Theatre, 425 West Town Place, Unit 112, St. Augustine; and 7 p.m. March 9 and 10 at Adele Grage Community Center, 716 Ocean Blvd., Atlantic Beach.
