Baptist Health of Northeast Florida received the highest level in the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) 2023 Digital Health Most Wired Survey. The Certified Level 10 achievement was awarded to Baptist Health in both the ambulatory and acute survey categories, distinguishing the health system as one of only three in the state of Florida and 16 in the nation to do so out of 55,000 organizations represented.

This is the second consecutive year Baptist Health has appeared on the Digital Health Most Wired list. The survey assesses the adoption, integration and impact of technologies in health care organizations at all stages of development, from early development to industry leading.

“What a testament this is to the hard work and collaboration of our clinicians, operational and IT teams,” said Aaron Miri, senior vice president and chief digital and information officer at Baptist Health. “We are so fortunate that our board members and leadership share a commitment to investing in digital innovation to help us provide the best outcomes, efficiencies and experiences to every person, in every setting.”

This year, Baptist Health ranked above peers in analytics and data management, population health, infrastructure and patient engagement, among other categories.

Among the items that elevated Baptist Health this year were the organization’s focus on partnerships with clinical staff to optimize the use of the new electronic health record and the use of artificial intelligence tools, like voice-driven AI, to eliminate wasted time. In addition, the focus on allowing clinicians to work at top-of-license by reducing clicks and time spent on administrative items is a continued concentration for the IT team.

“As we navigate today’s health care landscape, technology is a fundamental key to enhancing efficiencies and driving innovation to best serve our patients and improve the experience for our clinicians,” said Michael A. Mayo, president and CEO of Baptist Health. “Our teams across disciplines, from clinicians to IT professionals, will continue these incredible partnerships to deliver on high-performance care.”
