Each year the Beachside High Barracudas’ volleyball program gets another step farther in the postseason, as they reached the regional final this year after playing in the regional semifinal last year and making the playoffs in the school’s first year in 2022.
So, although they still came up just short of a trip to the final four with a loss to top-seeded Tallahassee Chiles (23-1) in four sets; 29-27, 25-15, 25-27, 25-17; on Oct. 30, the Barracudas continue to show that they are a rising state power in girls volleyball.
Junior Adriana Jeanpierre has been a scoring threat since she walked on the court as a freshman and led the team with 27 kills against the Timberwolves and averaged a more than 50% kill percentage on her opportunities.
Her 27 kills led all players during the contest.
Erica Duffy was second on the team with nine kills and led the Barracudas with 17 assists, while Keani Murray blocked a team-high three shots and sophomore libero Isabella Taveras did her part to keep possession alive with 16 digs.
With the loss, the Barracudas finish the season with a record of 19-4, a school record in terms of winning percentage.
