Beaches Boys & Girls Club presents Fidget Spinner Day

Posted

The Boys & Girls Club for Northeast Florida (BGCNF) Summer Academy hosted the inaugural Fidget Spinner Day July 27 at 820 Seagate Ave. in Jacksonville Beach.

Over 2,000 youth each received fidget spinners of their own to use at the event, which integrated the spinners into S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math) activities. Additionally, the young event goers learned physics concepts like friction, torque and balance using the fidget spinners.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida is an affiliate of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. BGCNF offers programs and activities in five distinct areas: character and leadership, education and careers, health and life skills, the arts, sports, fitness and recreation.
