Beaches Energy Services visited grade four students on the Bolles Lower School Ponte Vedra Beach Campus to reinforce lessons taught in their energy unit and for the robotics team’s research projects.
Bolles instructional technology specialist Andrew Nation organized the experience to allow students to get an up-close perspective of how energy moves through the grid as well as how lines are repaired after storms and hurricanes.
The crew showed the danger of live power poles, demonstrated climbing techniques, allowed students to explore their vehicles and taught them about line worker safety.
