Bogey Grille in Ponte Vedra Beach hosted the 24th annual Tips for Kids Sake campaign this month benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Johns County (BBBS).

Part one was held Feb. 5 with celebrity waiters from the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach waiting on friends and family and donating their tips to BBBS. The local Rotary club has been supporting Tips for Kids Sake since 2006 and this year raised $2,336.

“The Ponte Vedra Rotary is an incredible supporter of Tips for Kids Sake — we are so appreciative to them and their enthusiasm of the event,” said Teresa Andrews, BBBS director of development and coordinator of the event. “They really make a difference.”

This year’s Rotary team included Jessica Evans, Toni Boudreaux-Godwin, Richard Hanna, Doc Renuart, Dick Williams and George McCaughan.

Part two of the event was held Tuesday at Bogey Grille with waiters from MasterCraft Builder Group. The team included Dennis DeMott, Jen Pledger and Amy Lingenfelser. This edition of the Recorder went to the printer prior to the results of their efforts were announced.
